MANGE, SCABIES

Scabies is a pretty frequent dermatosis, which is produced by a parasite. It is transmitted directly, through skin contact from the infected person to the healthy one, through underwear, clothes, sleeping in the same bed or through contact with sick animals.

It is manifested through an itching sensation (especially during the night); small blisters appear on the skin. It is localized in the axillary, mamelon area, between the toes, genital organs and interior part of the hip. Crusts and piodermitis are due to scratching.

Treatments:

- Celandine (Chelidonium majus); infusion from two teaspoons of celandine juice, for compresses, into 200 milliliters water, dip the area, the juice is obtained through crushing of plant and leaves.


- Prostrate knotweed (Polygonum aviculare); infusion from two teaspoons into half-liter boiled water, take baths.

- Peppermint (Mentha piperita); rub the affected area with fresh peppermint leaves, dip with infusion from one hundred grams dried plant into a liter of boiling water.

Infusion from a teaspoon into a cup of boiling water, drink three cups per day.

- Walnut leaves (folium muglandis); infusion from two teaspoons into half-liter boiling water, take baths.
